I believe that written and visual mediums can naturally complement each other.
In addition to my writing, I am passionate about visual design. I enjoy finding unique ways to use separate assets to create a coherent, visually appealing finished product that relates its message in a clear and engaging way.
Below is a selection of my visual work. For my photography project, which is currently in the planning stage, and other photo concepts, visit the photography tab. For more live examples of my work, check out my social media accounts using the buttons below.
I regularly post graphics and photographs on my professional Instagram account, @gabriel.sus.writes. Mostly created in Canva, these images serve to promote my work and engage my audience.
This bilingual post was published on February 24, 2026, to mark the fourth anniversary of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
This series was created in Canva, combining my original prose with images captured by NASA's Voyager and Artemis II space missions. It was published shortly after NASA released a series of images captured by the Artemis II astronauts into the public domain.
This graphic, including public domain excerpts from Lawrence Binyon's poem The Fallen, was posted to LinkedIn, X, and Instagram (Instagram version shown here) on Memorial Day 2026, alongside a variation of this copy:
"In 1914, British poet Laurence Binyon composed his poem "For The Fallen" in honor of the British Expeditionary Force's casualties at the Battle of Mons, on the Western Front of the First World War.
In time, the poem and its specific excerpts became popular for use in tribute to all casualties of war, regardless of where they come from. It's a sobering reminder of the toll of war and the goal of peace.
This is my way of saying "Happy Memorial Day." Thank you to all who served and furthered this goal. 🇺🇸 🕊️"
This visual adaptation of a previous LinkedIn post reflected on the attention economy, media ethis, and modern "influencer" culture, using recent headlines as an anchor. This carousel received 376 views (as of May 29, 2026) including 255 from non-followers, from 187 individual accounts (compared to approximately 45 followers).
This post introduced viewers to my personal tastes in music, highlighting my interest in artists including Ed Sheeran and Okean Elzy, among others.

Two issues of The Reading List highlighted my book recommendations on my Instagram account. As part of The Reading List, I designed a cohesive visual theme and wrote copy for reviews, highlighting both positive and negative aspects of the featured literature.

In addition to photos and static graphics, I also occasionally create short-form video content for Instagram Reels. I primarily use these clips to reach a wider audience, as most of the viewers I receive from them don't follow my account. Due to formatting constraints, the original video files cannot be displayed on this site. Below are GIF files that are otherwise identical, and were created from the same design files.
I post weekly about the art and business of storytelling on LinkedIn, and have also written one article giving practical advice on writing a novel. For most of these posts, I have created accompanying graphics to draw attention, which I frequently cross-post on X and Instagram along with a variation of the post. I also designed my LinkedIn header image, which is included below.
As part of my professional identity, I've utilized my brand palette to create my business cards from scratch.

Logo design is one of my hobbies. I've developed these original logos for various original projects and ventures, as well as others for fictional entities mentioned within my creative projects.
